We are SCHOLAR DOLLARS, a
company dedicated to providing personalized scholarship search services
at cost-effective prices in order to allow students to pursue their
goal of higher education. We believe that no student should ever be denied an educational opportunity simply because they can’t afford it!
I am the proud Owner and Founder of SCHOLAR DOLLARS, with many years of experience searching for and finding specialized and obscure scholarships. I take great delight in finding new scholarships that my clients qualify
for, and even greater delight when they win them! I didn't start this
business just to earn a living – I truly love and enjoy what I do!
My first “client” was my son, who recently graduated from Columbia University! When he was a high school senior, our financial situation was very grim. I was a single parent with two children and a low-paying job. I didn’t know any way we would be able to afford college. However, my son was very determined, as was I. I
began gathering information from a variety of sources and spent
countless hours (20-25 hours per week!) searching for scholarships that he qualified for. I
worked full-time during the day, but night after night (after night!) I
scoured the Internet, the library, bookstores, and more, looking for any information I could find and running into lots of dead ends along the
way. It was truly “on-the-job” training, but all my hard work paid off, literally!
That first year, I was able to identify approximately 50 scholarships for which my son met all of the eligibility requirements. I worked with him in creating detailed organizational systems to keep track of everything, especially the deadlines. The first year, he won 10 scholarships totaling more than $15,000!Since
then, I’ve been perfecting my search skills and on average identify well over 250 unique and promising scholarship opportunities for each of my clients who are High School Seniors and Undergraduates!
I
am proud to say that my son’s college tuition and expenses were FULLY PAID FOR through scholarships, grants, and financial aid – all of
which are “FREE MONEY.”But the education he received in college is truly PRICELESS! Tracie L. Joyner Owner and Founder, Scholar Dollars
